Mothers Who Know Are Nurturers

The past couple of weeks have been completely nuts. First, Kender got some sort of flu-like virus. Then Ryan got the flu too. Then Ryan started his new job. Then Rhett got pink eye. Then Ryan got pink eye. I have been washing my hands a ton and trying not to touch everyone! It’s a miracle I’m not sick, and I really hope it stays that way!

I was going through some of my old notes this evening and stumbled upon the talk Mothers Who Know by Julie B. Beck. It is so inspiring and uplifting! It makes me want to be a better homemaker. I think the biggest thing I can do personally right now is include my kids more in household tasks instead of waiting until they are asleep or busy with something else. My favorite quote from Sister Beck’s talk is, "Working beside children in homemaking tasks creates opportunities to teach and model qualities children should emulate.” That really rang true for me, and now it’s a new goal!

There is eternal influence and power in motherhood. - Julie B. Beck

But seriously, if you’re a mom in need of guidance, read this talk! You won’t regret it!
