Updates On The Blog Front

Hey everyone!

I'm not sure how many readers I actually have on my blog April's Happy Place, but I thought I'd let you guys know what's going to happen from here on out.

I've always loved blogging and thought it would be fun to try to turn my blog into a job by self-hosting it and monetizing it in various ways. All that has been super fun, but it does take a lot time and energy to get things flowing, and it takes a long time for that income to start coming in. Basically, I can't justify the cost of keeping my self-hosted blog up and running, so I'm going back to a free platform for now. Maybe once the kids are older and I've got more time on my hands I'll go back to self-hosting, but for now Blogger is going to be where it's at. I haven't used Blogger in years, and I'm kind of excited to go back and get reacquainted with what it has to offer!

It was too big of a pain to transfer all of my other posts over to Blogger, so I just backed them up and if I ever go back to self-hosting with Wordpress I'll import them back in along with any new posts from here on Blogger. Basically, what that means is that my older posts won't be accessible for a while once my paid hosting expires. They will still be up on www.aprilshappyplace.net for a few more months though. So there's all the technical stuff for anyone who cares about all of that!

As for what you can expect from me in the way of content, I'll still be posting about all of my favorite things: Family, Faith, Beauty, Creativity, and more. Thanks for reading!
