Light the World Day 10
"Search the scriptures."
The scriptures contain the word of God, relayed to us through inspired servants. As we study the scriptures, we grow closer to God and gain a clearer vision of our purpose on earth.
My favorite scripture is this one:
Doctrine & Covenants 6:33-34
33 Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward.
34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.
I get so much comfort reading those words because I know that whatever happens, no matter how bad things may seem, my efforts will not be for nothing. As long as I am trying my best to improve and do good, all will be well. When I put my faith in my Savior and do my best to endure my trials with grace, I cannot be overcome. I believe the Lord allows us to experience hard times to help us be humble, and to learn and grow. It's always hard to see the benefit in the midst of challenges, but we come out stronger in the end. I didn't think I'd ever be able to endure a miscarriage, but I did. And now I know I'm stronger than I thought I was, and I feel a stronger love and gratitude for the children I have here on this earth.
Moments I'm grateful for:
Building this train with Kender, Melissa, and my nephews was precious, and it turned out so cool!
It's always sad when kids are sick, but I'm not gonna lie, I love all those extra snuggles ♥
More sick day snuggles. Rhett fell asleep in time out at 4pm today... I wonder what kind of night we will have!
Rhett either has a great sense of humor, or is very confused... Whenever he sees this light up Santa he says, "Look it's Mommy!" Ryan says it's because we're both jolly, but I'm starting to wonder if I have a beard... Or a wonky eye. 😆
