A Tribute to Deputy Dreamy

My husband is a Deputy Sheriff. That means he works 11-hour shifts (sometimes longer) during which he puts his own life in danger to protect the innocent and uphold the law. He is a protector of justice. A modern-day warrior. He is brave, strong, loyal, and kind. I am so grateful for everything that he and his comrades do for our community every day. He exemplifies everything a good man should be.

Not only does he work hard to serve his community, but he works extremely hard to serve our family. When he isn't working his "day job" as a police officer, he's either working his side job to further support our growing family, or he's working hard helping his Dad build our house. Working hard so I can be a full-time mother and homeschool our boys. I don't know what I would do without him. He gets very little time to himself to do things he enjoys, but he doesn't complain. He is the most selfless person I know.

Even though his plate is incredibly full, he still manages to be an amazing husband and father. He is always here for us when we need him, and we absolutely adore him. I couldn't ask for a better father for our children, or a better partner in life.

I so much admire his courage and his sense of duty. I admire his bravery. He felt a call to serve and protect. To not only look after himself and his family, but to look after all those in need. His job is dangerous, and a lot of times people ask me if I worry about him. I do worry sometimes, but not as much as I thought I would when this journey first began. It may not be in a traditional sense, but he is serving God.

And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. -  Mosiah 2:17

I know that God is protecting him, and that melts my fear away.

Thank you, Ryan, for all that you do for your family, your community, and your God. You are an incredible man, and snagging you was my greatest achievement in life ;)

I love you.

PS - Thanks for being so dang attractive on top of everything else. I totally married up. You've earned the title "Deputy Dreamy" <3
