The Kitsap County Fair
This week we went to the Kitsap County fair as a family. Ryan and I had a lot of fun! The boys had slightly less fun, mostly because they had to do a lot of walking. And the fact that we wouldn’t let them ride any of the fun fair rides…
There were lots of bunnies, cats, dogs, mini horses, cows, goats, llamas, pigs, and sheep. I might even be forgetting some. This was my first time seeing a full size cow up close, and HOLY COW they are huge!! (See what I did there? 😂)

We walked around and looked at the animals for about an hour and a half until the bigger boys were sick of walking. Who am I kidding, I was sick of walking too – especially with Mason in the carrier. I can never seem to adjust it properly, and my hips get sore when I wear it for too long. Ryan and I had to take turns.

One of my favorite parts of the good ole’ county fair was getting to see the show put on my the K9 unit officers and their dogs. Ryan gets to work with those guys all the time, but I’ve never seen them in person! It was cool to see the dogs work, and to meet some more of Ryan’s coworkers.

A fun side note: Ryan worked the fair Friday and Saturday night and 3 drunk people asked him if he would handcuff them and take pictures 🤣
Sunday Fun
Ryan and I teach the Sunbeam class at church (the 3 & 4 year olds) and they always make us smile. Today we were teaching them about how our bodies are like temples, so Ryan drew a picture of a temple (rectangles and triangles) and a stick person on the board. We asked them how our bodies are like temples and these were their replies:Rhett: “Dad, those windows are no good.”
Jack: “Usually people have eyes… And ears… And hair…”
Ryan repaired his drawings to their liking, and after a good laugh, we continued with the lesson. We talked about how we need to keep our bodies clean and healthy because they house our spirits, just like the temple is the house of the Lord.
Well, that’s all I’ve got for ya tonight. Happy Sunday! ❤
